UK Auctions and UK Salerooms Auctions & Salerooms Antique Centres/Fairs RU Listed ?
Buying at an Auction Caveat emptor - Let the buyer beware.
Many salerooms now hold their auction weekly, bi-weekly, twice a week or even monthly. Always try an attend a viewing prior to the auction , this is usually 1one or two days before the sale, to view the lot/s you are interested in buying. Some auctions/salerooms will give you a bidding number or a paddle with a number on, for you to bid at the auction. Always handle the lot/s so you can check for any damage as well as see the overall condition of the sale lot. See if there is a auction guide price to the lot ..if not as the auctioneer for a rough estimate on the lot. Always check in the auction catalogue for the rates of commission before you start bidding, they will range from a few % right up to 25%..this is added on to the final auction price as well as vat added to the commission price.. Please remember that once the gavel has bid hit down and sold this is a legal contract between you and the auction/saleroom, so be sure not to be carried away with your bidding, set your self a top limit price. http://www.clearance-comet.co.ukGood selection of white goods TV's and all electricals... http://www.thomsonauctions.co.uk Holiday auctions, city breaks, many on offer...
